I teamed up with fellow booklover and librarian extraordinaire, Beth McNeilly, to speak with parents of young readers at the best secondhand bookshop for kids in Hong Kong, ReBooked. We shared our favourite picture books with an energetic audience and Beth treated us with a rib-tickling read-aloud. I love being able to engage with my community and promoting fellow picture book creators through engaging and inspiring events like these. Get in touch if you’d like to collaborate!

"She showed our senior elementary girls how refreshing it is to read stories where the contexts are relatable, and the characters look like them and carry some of the same emotions as they do. To be seen and heard in a diverse world is comforting.
Maureen’s hands-on techniques were engaging and facilitated meaningful interaction during the workshop. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
